The European esports championship, University Esports Masters (UEM) 2021, kicked off with the participation of 10 teams from 16 countries. Representing Turkey in the tournament and making it to the quarter finals, Bahçeşehir Esports Red Dragons team will face the UK representative Bristol Whipped in the UEM 2021 playoff.

Inter-university European championship UEM 2021 started as group qualifiers with 16 universities from 857 countries with a record participation. Being the champion of the 'University Esports Turkey Tournament' where 64 teams and 320 players sweated, Bahçeşehir Esports Red Dragons team advanced to the playoffs as the group leader in the European tournament it participated in. Fighting against European universities in Group D, the team won 8 of the 7 matches it played and advanced to the quarter-finals. The team will face the UK representative Bristol Whipped in the quarterfinals. The tournament, which will be played in the digital environment, will be held with 10 teams from 16 countries after the group eliminations.

The match to be played between Bahçeşehir Esports Red Dragons and Bristol Whipped team will be broadcast on twitch.tv/UniEsportsTR on Sunday, July 11 at 13:00. If Bahçeşehir Esports Red Dragons is successful against their British opponent, they will fight for the European championship in the semi-finals and final matches to be held on July 17-18.

On the other hand, Bahçeşehir University LoL team, which has been the champion of Turkey for 2 times in the previous years, became the European champion by representing our country in the European Interuniversity Esports Championship (UEM) in 2018. The team faced the Portuguese team in the final and completed the tournament by gaining a great advantage over its opponent. The team won the championship and became the European champion in the tournament where powerful countries such as France, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain and Spain said goodbye.
