The '2021 Term Higher Education Mobility Consortium Accreditation (KA130) Application Results' carried out within the scope of the Erasmus+ Program has been announced by the Turkish National Agency. The Distance Education Application and Research Centers consortium, which also includes Dokuz Eylül University (DEU), successfully passed the accreditation process. DEU Rector Prof. Dr. Nükhet Hotar said that the cooperation between universities in distance education will increase the quality.

The Turkish National Agency has completed the evaluation process of the 'Higher Education Mobility Consortium Accreditation' applications within the scope of the Erasmus+ program. The Distance Education Application and Research Centers consortium, which also includes Dokuz Eylül University, successfully passed the accreditation process. Trabzon University has made its application; The grant allocation for the Erasmus+ Program numbered 2021-1-TR01-KA130-HED-000005861, in which Dokuz Eylül University, Atatürk University, Gazi University and Karadeniz Technical University are also in the consortium, will be announced in the coming period. With the program that will last for seven years, scientific and academic studies will be carried out on the distance education applications that have increased recently.

PROVIDE SUPPORT

Stating that Dokuz Eylul University strengthens the scientific studies in distance education through collaborations, DEU Rector Prof. Dr. Nükhet Hotar said, “As a university, we are improving our strong technological infrastructure and online studies in distance education day by day; We continue to collaborate with other universities in this field. We are aware that the applications to be made within the scope of the project will make significant contributions to distance education both nationally and internationally and will increase the quality. We congratulate our universities that have passed the quality evaluation in the Erasmus+ program of the Turkish National Agency and took part in the consortium; I wish success to the academic staff who will take part in the project.”

Director of Dokuz Eylül University Distance Education, Application and Research Center (DEUZEM) Prof. Dr. Bahar Baran said, “The first phase for our Distance Education Application and Research Centers consortium has been completed. Now it is time to determine the grant amount. Together with our stakeholders, we will participate in educational activities in program member countries and continue to work to improve the quality of distance education. We thank everyone who contributed,” he said.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM

With the '7-year Distance Education Application and Research Centers consortium accreditation program', the professional and personal development of personnel working in the field of distance education will be supported; Individuals with employment potential will be provided with field-specific competence. With the Erasmus+ program, it is also aimed to disseminate an innovative distance education model nationally and internationally. With the consortium of Trabzon University, Atatürk University, Dokuz Eylul University, Gazi University and Karadeniz Technical University, staff mobility for education and training, student mobility for studies, student mobility for internship and mixed-intensive program activities will be carried out. Erasmus+ programs also aim to implement mutual learning and good practice exchanges. Programs that provide forward-looking knowledge, skills and competence contribute to the production and implementation of innovations in higher education.
