The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure provided some information for the citizens who want to evaluate the Eid al-Adha holiday process to travel safely and comfortably. During the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday throughout Turkey, the Ministry aims to ensure that citizens can travel in peace and security and to intervene in emergencies; He noted that 17 Regional Directorates, 119 Maintenance Branch Chiefs, 15 Tunnel Maintenance Operation Chiefs and 24 Highway Maintenance Operation Chiefs and 768 duty officers will be present throughout the country.

Stating that the vehicle traffic on the highways will intensify and travel times will increase depending on long distances, the Ministry listed the issues that drivers should pay attention to as follows:
“The speed of vehicles; should be adjusted according to the load, vision, road and weather conditions, traffic signs and signals should be obeyed, lane violations should not be violated, seat belts should be worn, frequent breaks and rest should be taken on the road, tired and sleepless journeys should not be made, talking on a mobile phone at the wheel, distractions such as smoking behavior should be avoided and the warnings of the officials should be followed.”
