57 of Forest Fires Taken Under Control

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli reported that 57 of the forest fires were under control. Minister Pakdemirli, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made statements about the fires at the fire management center in Antalya's Manavgat district.

Pakdemirli said that more than one fire broke out at the same time throughout the country and that the interventions were intense.

Emphasizing that 57 of the fires across the country were under control, Pakdemirli said, "We are fighting the fire with 3 aircraft, 9 UAVs, unmanned helicopters, 1 water tank, 38 helicopters, 680 water sprinklers, 55 construction equipment and 4 personnel." said.

Giving information about the fires in Muğla, Pakdemirli said, “There are minor damages in the fire in Marmaris. It does not threaten the settlements, there is a fire moving towards the sea.” used the phrase.

Making a statement regarding the allegations that forest areas are opened to tourism, Pakdemirli said, “If a tourism-related facility is to be built, the form and conditions have been clear since the late Özal for 40 years. Forests do not need to be burned. In this sense, let us remind this again. Please don't abuse this issue." he said.

Noting that the investigations regarding the fires are continuing, Pakdemirli said, “The judicial authorities and law enforcement officers continue their investigations regarding the cause of the fires. An explanation is made when important findings are found.” said.

Regarding the victims, Pakdemirli said, "We will ensure the postponement of the debts and loan debts of our injured citizens such as Bağ-Kur, SGK, Ziraat, Tarım Kredi and TARSİM." used the phrase.
