Approximately 18 million students studying at primary, secondary and high school levels by the Ministry of National Education will go on summer vacation starting tomorrow. Students who request can be given a printed report card, certificate of achievement and graduation diploma by the school directorates. Summer schools will be opened in order to increase the readiness level of children who could not benefit from pre-school education and to ensure that they start primary school on equal terms with their peers. Applications for the make-up training program to be implemented on July 5-August 31 ends tomorrow.

Distance education, which was started on August 31 by the Ministry of National Education using TRT EBA, EBA and live lessons, was carried out sometimes remotely and sometimes face to face due to the Kovid-19 measures.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, a gradual transition to face-to-face education was made as of February 15.

Within the scope of “on-the-spot decision implementation in education”, activities in the form of face-to-face education in some places and distance education in some places continued as of March 1st. Within the scope of the full closure measures taken within the framework of the fight against Kovid-19, distance education was implemented on 29 April-17 May.

Face-to-face education was started as of May 8 in pre-school, special education centers and support and training courses of 12th and 17th grades, and distance education continued until 1 June in other levels.

As of June 2, full-time face-to-face education has been started for 5 days a week in all primary schools and kindergarten classes within the school, and 1 days a week in schools in villages and sparsely populated settlements.

Within the scope of the gradual normalization of June in the fight against Kovid-19, face-to-face education was started on June 8 in secondary schools and high schools across Turkey.

A printed report card, certificate of achievement and graduation diploma can be given to those who request it.

Due to the end of the 2020-2021 academic year, the report cards and achievement certificates of students at all levels were made available on the e-School from 18 June by the Ministry.

Students who request will be given a report card, certificate of achievement and graduation diploma as of tomorrow, printed by the school directorates.

Starting from June 21, our Ministry organized activities in the fields of academic, physical, social, emotional, cultural and sports, according to the needs of students in pre-school, primary and secondary schools.

In this process, education and training activities were carried out in all areas, especially social, sports and cultural activities, which were determined to need more support for high school students in distance education.

Responsibility exams, which should be held in the last two weeks of the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, will be completed tomorrow.

The program "I'm in for Remediation" begins

After the completion of the responsibility exams, the “I'm in the Make-Up” program, which is the summer vacation part of the National Support Program (UDEP) covering 1,5 years, will be implemented.

The make-up training program, for which applications can be made between June 21 and July 2, will be held between July 5 and August 31.

In this process, students will be able to benefit from facilities and centers affiliated to the Ministries of Family and Social Services, Youth and Sports, Culture and Tourism, Health and Interior ministries and municipalities.

Details about scientific, social, cultural, sportive educational activities and events to be held in schools, districts and provinces within the scope of the program can be accessed at the address of redebendevarim.meb.gov.tr.

The program, which includes educational activities for students, teachers and parents on a voluntary basis, will be planned in accordance with four main themes: "educational activities physical", "social emotional", "academic development" and "special education area".

Summer school for those who cannot benefit from pre-school education

Preschool summer schools will be opened in order to increase the readiness level of children who have not benefited from pre-school education although they will start primary school in September and to ensure that they start primary school on equal terms with their peers.

Limited to the 2020-2021 academic year, children who have not received pre-school education will be able to enroll in summer schools, provided that they are registered with priority.

In pre-school education, parents' demands for full-time children's clubs will be met with children's clubs to be opened. Summer school and children's clubs will be able to start operating the week after the report cards are given.

Literacy screening will be started for students who have passed the 2nd grade

Within the scope of the program, literacy screening will be started for students who have passed from the 1st to the 2nd grade, and additional course and additional material support will be provided to the students whose needs are determined according to the results of these scans. In addition, 3rd and 4th grade students will be supported with the Education Program in Primary Schools (IYEP).

Our Ministry, which also prepares critical gains screening for high schools, aims to open schools full-time in the 2021-2022 academic year and to conduct education and training face-to-face.
