Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli stated that 2 billion 550 million liras of plant production supports will start to be paid as of June 18.
Pakdemirli held a press conference at the Governor's Office as part of the Kilis program. Pakdemirli said that they will open the Kilis Upper Afrin Dam and Drinking Water Transmission Line with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan via live connection.
Stating that he wanted to express the expected good news for the farmers, Pakdemirli said, “From next week, we will be making plant production support payments. We are starting to pay 2 billion 550 million liras of herbal production support.” said.
Noting that these payments, which include cotton, sunflower, cocoon, safflower, soybean, cereal, legume and grain corn difference payments, also include certified seed and organic fertilizer support payments, Pakdemirli said, “We will start depositing them into the accounts of our farmers as of June 18, according to the Republic of Turkey ID numbers. . Thus, we will have paid more than 80 percent of the plant production support to our farmers in the first 6 months of the year.” he said.
