Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu went to Balıkesir on Friday, June 11 to examine the ongoing transportation investments.
During his visit, Minister Karaismailoğlu, who supervised the İvrindi-Bergama road construction works in İvrindi district, gave information about the latest status of the project. Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that both the İvrindi Junction and the 4-kilometer divided road will be fully put into service in the coming days, and that they will complete the rest of the road as quickly as possible. Karaismailoğlu said, "By eliminating the risk of traffic accidents, the project will serve as a divided road for many years."
Later, Minister Karaismailoğlu and General Manager Uraloğlu, who went to the Balıkesir-Savaştepe Road Construction Site, continued their contacts here as well. Minister Karaismailoğlu noted that 40.6 kilometers of the Balıkesir- Savaştepe Road, which has a total project length of 7.2 kilometers, was completed as a divided road and 15.7 kilometers as a single road and opened to traffic. Adding that the works on the remaining 17 kilometers of the project continue uninterruptedly, our Minister said, "Hopefully, we will put the entire road into service before the end of next year and put it at the service of the people of Balıkesir."
