Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu suggested that the Kanal Istanbul project will end the mucilage known as sea saliva. Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, who was a guest of the special program organized by 24 TV in Çamlıca Tower, made statements about the mucilage (sea saliva) and Kanal Istanbul project in the Marmara Sea.

“The Black Sea is much cleaner than Marmara. When the Canal Istanbul is built, the rivers flowing into the Black Sea will mix with the Marmara,” Karaismailoğlu continued;

“This will increase the water quality in Marmara and end the sea saliva. There are manipulations; It is said that water resources will be affected. Sazlıdere dam corresponds to 2.8 percent of Istanbul. We will contribute more to the water reserve of Istanbul with Kanal Istanbul and the Piriççik and Kahramadere dams. Its total cost is $15 billion. There are 6 bridges on it; Including these in the price, we will complete it in 5 years.”
