Multi-storey Car Park and Marketplace with a floor area of 3 square meters and a construction area of 2745 square meters were added in the Yenidogan District. Newborn Katki Car Park and Marketplace, which will be used as both a market area and a parking lot, were put into service with a ceremony. The opening of the work, which cost approximately 8235 million 11 thousand TL, was attended by Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, as well as Gürsu District Governor Naif Yavuz, Gürsu Mayor Mustafa Işık, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz, Kestel Mayor Önder Tanır, Orhangazi Mayor Bekir Aydın. In his speech at the ceremony, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Minister Alinur Aktaş said that they are working hard in 17 districts of Bursa, from Mustafakemalpaşa to İnegöl, from Orhaneli to İznik. Expressing that they are happy to provide a service worth 11 million TL to Gürsu district despite the pandemic process, President Aktaş said, “We have no other problem than to put one stone on another. With the support of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our ministers and our deputies, we have no other aim than to serve. Look, our 4 district mayors are here. Because the excitement of providing a service to our people is the common excitement of all of us. Yes, our revenues have decreased due to the pandemic, but thank God our investments have not stopped,” he said.

Expressing that the residents of the Yenidogan District are also working on the solution of one of the most important problems, the natural gas issue, Mayor Aktaş said, “We held a meeting with our Gürsu and Yıldırım Mayors on this issue. It is an issue that concerns not only Yenidogan but also Yıldırım and Osmangazi. Hopefully, the works on natural gas will start next month. Maybe a little bit of August, but our ultimate goal is to spend the next winter with natural gas. However, for this, you need to work on the house installations already," he said. Chairman Aktaş wished the Newborn Contribution Parking Lot and Marketplace to be beneficial.
Gürsu Mayor Mustafa Işık emphasized that they have completed 60 percent of the promises they made before the election and that they will have completed 75 percent by the end of this year. Reminding that one of the most important problems of Yenidogan in the pre-election surveys is the parking lot and the market place, Mayor Işık thanked President Aktaş and his team for providing such a service to Yenidogan.
Gürsu District Governor, Naif Yavuz, reminded that he started to work in Gürsu about 1 year ago and thanked the Metropolitan Municipality for solving one of the most important problems of the region.
After the speeches, President Aktaş and the protocol members, who made the opening by cutting a ribbon, then toured the Katkı Parking Lot and Marketplace.
