Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce shared the good news on 3 June World Bicycle Day. President Ekrem Yüce announced that the Sunflower Cycling Valley, the most modern and functional bicycle track in the world, will host a new international championship.
The heart of the bike will beat in Sakarya
Expressing that they will proudly open the doors of the city to a new international championship, President Ekrem Yüce said, “In our Sakarya, which has the title of 'Bicycle Friendly City', which is only found in 13 cities in the world, we will host national events such as the 2020 World Mountain Bike Marathon Championship, Mountain Bike Championship, Presidential Cycling Tour. and hosted many international organizations in the best way possible. Now, we are proud to be hosting a new organization befitting our city between 23-31 October. Sunflower Cycling Valley, one of the few cycling facilities in the world, will host the BMX World Championship. Many local and foreign participants will come to our city, and the excitement of the championship will be experienced in the EXPO area to be established. This pride is our Sakarya. We are celebrating the 3 June World Cycling Day with enthusiasm, with our bicycle paths that surround the entire city, our Sakbis smart bicycle stations, our Sunflower Cycling Valley that hosts the champions, and our worldwide contributions to cycling.”
