ASELSAN Heartline AED, with the help of specialist healthcare professionals at the scene, to treat fatal heart rhythm irregularities that lead to sudden cardiac arrest (cardiopulmonary arrest) cases in which the heart cannot perform its blood pumping function, a pulse cannot be obtained from the great arteries, and as a result, loss of breathing and consciousness in the patient. It is an Automatic External Defibrillator (OED) device specially developed for use by first aiders until they reach their destination.

ASELSAN Heartline OED has been designed in accordance with the guidelines prepared jointly by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) in 2015 on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and cardiovascular emergency care (ECC). The Heartline AED device has advanced electrocardiography (ECG) analysis software. When the pads of the device are adhered by the user to the body parts marked on the device, the patient's ECG signal is automatically analyzed by the device and the user is guided for treatment as audio and/or visual (optional). Therefore, the user does not need to know and interpret the heart rhythm.

The Heartline OED device has the ability to automatically analyze the electrical activity produced by the heart with its easily sticking conductive electrodes. While the international device standard (EN 60601-2-4) for the detection of ventricular fibrillation (Ventricular Fibrillation, VF), which is called lethal heart rhythm, is > 90%; Thanks to its superior heart rhythm analysis algorithm, ASELSAN Heartline OED detects these rhythms with an accuracy of 96,6%, automatically applies the necessary shock to the patient in the form of a biphasic wave, and ensures that the fatal heart rhythm detected in the patient is corrected.

The Heartline AED device is extremely safe to use. When the device pads are inserted into a patient with a normal heart rhythm for any reason, it analyzes that the patient has a normal heart rhythm as high as 99%, and does not recommend applying electro shock to the patient and informs the user in this direction. In the international device standard (EN 60601-2-4) for this determination, this rate is > 90%.

ASELSAN Heartline OED has the ability to guide the user visually and audibly during its use, and to perform the patient's ECG analysis on its own. ASELSAN Heartline OED device basically has two different models with fully automatic and semi-automatic use. When the device detects a lethal heart rhythm (ventricular fibrillation, pulseless ventricular tachycardia) requiring shock as a result of ECG analysis, in its semi-automatic configuration, it recommends shock to the patient and guides the user to press the shock button. In the fully automatic configuration, when it detects an ECG signal in need of shock, it has the feature of automatically applying the shock energy to the patient after giving an information message to the operator.

ASELSAN Heartline OED guides the first aider audibly and visually (optionally) to ensure that the basic life-saving chain is fully implemented by the first aider. In this way, it prevents any rescue steps being skipped or forgotten due to the panic experienced at the time of the incident. The device coaches the user for CPR and CPR. It also guides the user with the appropriate rhythm so that the heart massage is performed in the correct rhythm.

Heartline OED can be used 5/7 for 24 years with its external standard battery. With the optional high-capacity battery, the usage time of the device can be up to 7 years. When Heartline OED detects a problem in the device or accessories such as batteries and pads as a result of periodic and autonomous in-device tests, it has the feature of notifying its user via the warning LED.

After the ASELSAN Heartline AED device is started, it records the date and time of the case, ECG rhythms received from the patient, ambient sounds and electro-shock therapy applied to the patient in its internal memory so that the case can be analyzed later.

ASELSAN Heartline OED has professional service software with a user-friendly interface specially developed for analyzing device records, making necessary system settings of the device, and reporting incidents when needed.
