The foundation piles for the pedestrian bridge to be built within the scope of the tram line to be extended from Beachyolu to Kuruçeşme, which will breathe the city traffic, have started to be driven. Metropolitan, which offers giant projects that will bring comfort to transportation, is expanding its rail system network by giving priority to public transportation. In this context, the existing Akçaray Tram Line in Izmit District will pass from the Plajyolu Station to the opposite side of the D-100 and connect to Kuruçeşme.

2 PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES WILL BE MADE

Work has started on the Kuruçeşme Tram Line, which will be built by the Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of the project, foundation piles for the pedestrian bridge to be built in front of Acıbadem Hospital have started to be driven. Within the scope of the project, two pedestrian bridges will be built in front of Acıbadem Hospital and in front of İzmit High School. The tram line to be built between Plajyolu Kuruçeşme will pass from the Plajyolu stop to the Kuruçeşme junction over the D-100 with a 332 meter steel tram bridge. Within the scope of the 812-meter double-track tram line project in total, 1 station and 2 pedestrian bridges will be built.

OLD PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES TO BE DESTROYED

At the entrance to Kuruçeşme, the old bridges in front of the Gümüşhaneliler Foundation and in front of the İzmit High School will be demolished and two new steel construction pedestrian bridges will be built in their place. Acıbadem pedestrian bridge, which will be manufactured as approximately 59 meters of steel construction, and a new 52 meters long steel construction pedestrian bridge will be built in front of Izmit High School.

INFRASTRUCTURE DISPLACEMENT WILL BE DONE

The existing D-100 Istanbul direction will be connected to the western toll booths area of ​​Izmit, and the Kuruçeşme junction will be rearranged. A transformer center will be established to provide the energy of the line, the existing roads on the route where the tram line passes and the western highway entrance in the direction of Izmit - Istanbul will be renewed and the displacement of the infrastructures on the route will be made within the scope of this project.

812 METERS NEW LINE

The tram line to be built between Plajyolu and Kuruçeşme will pass from the Plajyolu stop to the Kuruçeşme junction over the D-100 with a 332-meter steel tram bridge. In total, 812 station and 1 pedestrian bridges will be built for 2 meters of double line. With the completion of the Kuruçeşme tram line, the length of the tram line will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters. The single-line length of the tram will reach 3 kilometers, with a 23,4-kilometer single-line warehouse area. With Kuruçeşme station, the number of stops will reach 16 and with the new construction, 6 transformer centers will serve.

KuruÇeşme Junction Will Be Renovated

After the Kuruçeşme tram line is built, a connection will be made from the western toll booths area to go to the D-100 direction, and Kuruçeşme junction will be rearranged. The existing roads on the route where the tram line passes and the western highway entrance in the direction of Izmit-Istanbul will be renewed. The displacement of the infrastructures on the route will also be made within the scope of this project. A transformer center will be established to provide the energy of the line.
