Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce attended the certificate ceremony of the Applied Entrepreneurship and Mentoring Training carried out within the scope of the Let's Pedal to the Black Sea project initiated by the municipality. Dr. Speaking at the ceremony attended by Furkan Beşel and Ziya Cevherli, as well as bureaucrats, Mayor Yüce stated that an important step was achieved in the Let's Pedal to the Black Sea project with a budget of 893 thousand 391 euros, which was entitled to support from the European Union, and explained the value that the work will add to the city's sports and bicycle friendly identity.

President Yüce, who met with entrepreneurs who received training in order to receive the title of “Pedal-Friendly Enterprise” in workplaces, break areas, resting and accommodation centers to be established in digitally labeled locations in the Black Sea region, emphasized that with this project, they will announce Sakarya's name to the world in the field of bicycles. Yüce, who gave advice to the young people to become experts in their fields by saying "Be the person sought, not the seeker", presented their certificates to 100 entrepreneurs and 75 operators who completed the training.

Stating that the world-famous cyclists will start their journey from Sakarya and finish here when the work is finished, Chairman Yüce said, “It is necessary to leave important traces on the world. We will announce the name of Sakarya to the world as a bicycle friendly city. Our aim as Sakarya; To increase our share in Cycling, which is one of the most important sports in the world and perhaps has the most athletes and sports fans. In other words, we say that there are many cyclists in the world and they love cycling in the unique nature of the Black Sea. We decided to prepare interconnected bicycle routes in the Black Sea basin. Athletes from different parts of the world who want to use their bicycles on these routes should start their journey from Sakarya or complete their journey in Sakarya. Let's come together with our businessmen, tradesmen, businesses and entrepreneurs and create spaces where these athletes can meet their daily needs. Let's set up workplaces, resting places, resting and sheltering centers. In fact, let's get the title of "Pedal Friendly Enterprise" by preparing these centers at international standards. President Yüce stated that entrepreneurs were trained in order to market the facilities to be established in the international arena and bring them into tourism, and said, “For this purpose, we are implementing the project with a total budget of 893 thousand 491 Euros. We came together with our project partner SUBÜ and representatives from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia to create bicycle routes and routes. We have labeled these routes on digital platforms. Then we met with you and started our training. As you know, these trainings have various purposes: First of all, marketing the routes we have determined for tourism purposes in international channels. Ensuring that our businesses and entrepreneurs receive the title of “Pedal Friendly Business” by providing bicycle themed trainings. Providing support to women entrepreneurs in the production of souvenirs and completing the training activities. As a result of the trainings, we will start the implementation phase of the project and hopefully we will organize a Bicycle Festival in our city together with you, our “Pedal Friendly” Enterprises and entrepreneurs. Thank God with you today; We have completed this training program, which we started with 100 entrepreneurial candidates and 75 businesses. We will now provide advanced mentoring support to 10 entrepreneurs and 5 businesses. ” he said.
