In line with the aim of making Turkey a logistics base and increasing the competitiveness of Turkish industrialists in transportation by rail, the project work of 5 more logistics centers has been completed. These logistics centers are Bilecik (Bozüyük), Kayseri (Boğazköprü), Karaman, Bitlis (Tatvan) and ÇerkezköyIt will be established in (Tekirdag).
With the works carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the General Directorate of TCDD, it is aimed to transform Turkey, which is at the center of the transportation corridors in its region, into a logistics base. In this context, logistics center constructions continue in order to increase the competitiveness of Turkish industrialists by carrying the burden of the railroad.
It is aimed to increase the number of logistics centers from 11 to 25. When the planned 25 logistics centers are completed, 75.2 million square meters of container stock and handling area will be added to the industry with 4.1 million tons and 19.9 million TEU additional transportation opportunities.
