Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, announced that a total of 19 million TL, 1200 TL per person, will be given to 5.000 stationery shopkeepers in order to reduce the economic and social effects of the Covid-6 epidemic.

Stating that support will be provided within the scope of projects carried out jointly with the International Labor Organization (ILO) Turkey Office, Minister Bilgin stated that the applications will be received from the official website of the Ministry (forms.ailevecalisma.gov.tr/uigm/form/) as of 21 June 2021 (from today).

Minister Bilgin stated that 1200 tradesmen operating in the field of stationery in Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Denizli, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Mersin, Ordu and Şanlıurfa can benefit from the “Support for Stationery Shopkeepers” program. Minister Bilgin noted that with this program to be carried out in 14 provinces, a total of 5.000 million TL, 6 TL per person, will be given. Bilgin stated that if the application is large, the number of beneficiaries will be determined by taking into account criteria such as whether to receive a retirement or old-age pension, keeping a book on the basis of business account, starting date of operation, and whether the owner of the business is female or young.

Noting that those who are entitled to receive grants will be announced on the official website of the Ministry, Bilgin stated that the payments will be made via the PTT via TR ID numbers.
