Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş's promise that up to 10 cubic meters of water will be given to low-income families receiving social assistance from 1 TL per cubic meter is coming to life. According to the gradual water tariff decision taken with the aim of saving, 90 percent of the subscribers in Ankara will continue to bill for the same amount.
Continuing to delight those in need with his understanding of social municipality, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş's promise to reduce the water bills of families receiving social assistance is coming to life.
According to the tariff that will be implemented after the decision is finalized, the water to be used by low-income families receiving social assistance will be billed from 10 TL per cubic meter up to 1 cubic meters.
Approximately 90 percent of the subscribers in Başkent will continue to pay the same fee on their bills, with the 'Graduated Water Tariff' application, which is also recommended by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, which is the most effective application to save water and accepted by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council.
According to the regulation, which uses normal water and will not affect 90 percent of the subscribers, the monthly water unit fee will be reflected on the invoices as follows:
- Between 0-15 cubic meters: 5 TL + PPI,
- Between 15-30 cubic meters: 7 TL + PPI,
- 30 cubic meters and above: 9 TL + PPI.
