It was announced that the high-speed train, serving between Beijing and Shanghai, the two most important cities of China, welcomed 1 billion 350 million passengers in ten years.

According to the data released by the China State Railway Group, the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train line, which was put into service 10 years ago, had 666 voyages on the busiest day and the highest daily passenger capacity of 798 thousand.

The passenger capacity of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed train line reached 2019 million in 210, breaking a record in this field. This number constituted 9,3 percent of the entire railway capacity and 3,7 percent of the high-speed train line capacity throughout the country in the same year.

The high-speed train line, serving between the capital Beijing and Shanghai, one of the country's most important financial centers, and having a length of 318 kilometers, started its operations on 30 June 2011.
