The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has started to apply for aids to be made to the projects of private theaters for the 2021-2022 art season in order to ensure that the art of theater is popular and loved, to encourage local playwrights, to increase the quality of the plays and to support the development of Turkish theater in this way.
Applications to be received online through the e-government system will be accepted until July 15, 2021.
With the amendments made in the Regulation on Assistance to the Projects of Private Theaters, some arrangements were made considering the conditions of the day and the demands from the sector.
With the arrangements made, the employment of the insured in the theater field was made an evaluation criterion and the rights of the sector employees were brought to the fore. The application dates were also brought forward, aiming to announce the grants before the art season begins.
