Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, said that since 2014, 3.090 disabled people have started their own business by benefiting from the grant support provided by İŞKUR for the disabled.

Minister Bilgin said, “Since 2014, we have provided more than 3.090 million support to 143 projects for our disabled citizens to establish their own businesses and employ them. In order to facilitate the application process and increase accessibility, we started to receive grant applications via e-Government this year. With these regulations we have made, we have paved the way for more citizens to benefit from these opportunities.”

“We Provide Over 2021 Million Support to Disabled People in the First Term of 16”

Bilgin stated that in accordance with the decisions taken at the 2021 1st Meeting of the Commission Authorized to Use the Amounts Collected as Administrative Fines from Employers with Disabled and Former Convicts, a total of 352 million TL support will be provided for a total of 19,7 projects. Approximately 16,6 million TL of this support will be used for the disabled.

With this support provided; Projects for the disabled people to start their own businesses, support technologies that will provide employment for the disabled, ensuring the adaptation of the disabled to work and workplace, vocational training to increase the employment of the disabled, and the Protected Workplace Support, which will employ people with mental and mental disabilities, are financed.
