Göbeklitepe, the oldest and largest known belief center in the world, will be showcased at the United Nations.

A copy of a work from Göbeklitepe, which is described as the “zero point of history” with its 12-year history in Şanlıurfa, will be exhibited at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

A copy of the "P5,5" numbered obelisk (stel) with a height of 18 meters, located in the section called D structure of Göbeklitepe, which is a world cultural heritage, will be presented to the United Nations as an official art gift.

Will Be The Second Work Exhibited at the UN

The P2019 Stele of Göbeklitepe, which was opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 18 and became the focal point of local and foreign visitors, will be the second Anatolian work to be exhibited at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

In 2019, preliminary contacts were made by the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey to present a copy of a work by Göbeklitepe as a second work from Turkey to the UN exhibition.

The work, which will be exhibited permanently at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, will show the feature of Göbeklitepe as a universal cultural heritage and offer an important promotion opportunity.
