Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, announced that occupational safety experts authorized by the ministry were gradually included in the vaccination calendar.

Occupational safety experts, who were mobilized to provide guidance and consultancy services to employers and employees in order to prevent the risk of Covid-19 transmission in the workplace during the epidemic process, were also gradually included in the vaccination calendar after workplace physicians and workplace nurses.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security will share the information of occupational safety experts working to establish health and safety in workplaces with the Ministry of Health and the gradual vaccination process will begin.

Stating that as the ministry, they mobilized all the means to fight the epidemic in a healthy way, Vedat Bilgin stated that the occupational safety experts play an important role in the epidemic process.

Minister Bilgin said, "Our auditing activities are continuing to provide suitable and safe personal protective equipment to all our employees, especially our healthcare workers." said.

Stating that they have taken many measures to protect employees during the epidemic process, Minister Bilgin said, “In this direction, we established a platform called 'Combating COVID-19 in Workplaces' where the documents prepared by our General Directorate of Occupational Health and all questions and answers from employers and employees. Thus, we took care to inform our employers and employees about the precautions continuously, quickly and with the most up-to-date developments. " used the expressions.

Reminding that they have started to take measures rapidly since 11 March 2020, when the epidemic was seen in our country, and in this context, they established a Scientific Advisory Board with expert academicians in different disciplines, Minister Bilgin said:

“With the recommendations of the Scientific Advisory Board and the work of our expert team, we have prepared informative documents on 24 different working areas such as construction, food and mining sectors where collective work is involved and where there is a high risk of contamination. We have shared these documents, prepared in consideration of sectoral differences, to all our workplaces and employees, including our employers, workers and civil servants confederations, chambers of tradesmen and craftsmen, relevant non-governmental organizations and the International Labor Organization Turkey Directorate. "
