Melet River Will Become a Touristic Area

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler said, "I hope the work we have carried out on the Melet River will catch up to the summer and become a very nice touristic area for Ordu."

On the Melet River, which is the longest and largest river of Ordu, which draws the border between the Eastern Black Sea and the Middle Black Sea, the change and transformation works carried out by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and the 75th Branch Office of the State Hydraulic Works (DSI) continue at full speed. The Metropolitan Municipality, which makes rehabilitation and landscaping in the part of Melet that flows into the Black Sea, brings a new look to the area of ​​the river with its works.

Underlining what they have brought to Ordu tourism by cleaning the dump site, Mayor Güler said, “Our work continues at full speed in Melet River and Civil creek. I hope the work we have carried out on the Melet River will catch up to the summer and become a very nice touristic area for Ordu. With our work, boats will be able to enter the inner parts of the river. There will also be fishing spots on the river. We cleaned this area, which was the old dump site. This will be an area where people and nature are intertwined. We wanted to make the area more beautiful by diversifying the island with the island we built on the river in accordance with its natural structure. We carry out an intensive and comprehensive work with our entire team. "All these works we do in Melet and Civil will add value to Ordu and at the same time provide a great advantage to our region in terms of harmony with the environment in terms of contemporary urbanism."

A meaningful gesture was made by the fishermen to Mayor Güler, who examined the ongoing works on the Melet River on site. Our Metropolitan Mayor, Mr. Dr., who traveled here to change and beautify the 'Melet River', which members of the Cumhuriyet Mahallesi Melet River Surrounding and Fishermen Protection Association members hung on their boats, and made it look completely different. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, as the fishermen of the Melet River, greeted Mayor Güler with a banner saying "Thank you for his work."
