Karaismailoğlu said, “For this reason, we have included Başakşehir-Bahçeşehir-Hadımköy (Nakkaş) section within the scope of the Northern Marmara Motorway project. With this 45-kilometer section, the total length of the Northern Marmara Motorway will reach 443 kilometers. Cebeci Tunnel, which we opened, is the widest tunnel with 4 lanes in the world and the longest tunnel in Istanbul with a length of 4 meters. In addition, our entire road is equipped with all elements of smart transportation systems, ”he said.

Stating that the annual contribution of the Northern Marmara Motorway to the country's economy exceeds 2 billion TL, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, "We have created a fast, comfortable and safe new transportation alternative between Hasdal Junction with the highest traffic volume of the TEM Highway and Mahmutbey West Junction." said. Karaismailoğlu stated that the Northern Marmara Motorway Project facilitated transportation to Kocaeli and Sakarya provinces in Istanbul, where there are dense industrial and industrial areas, and shortened the travel time between Istanbul and Ankara.
Noting that intensive works are continuing on many metro lines in Istanbul, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “We will make significant contributions to the urban traffic of Istanbul with the line with a total length of 91 km. Again, we are at the beginning stage of an important project about Istanbul. We hope to complete an important urban project in the historical peninsula in the Fatih region within 13 years, and will offer both public transportation of 2 km between Sirkeci and Kazlıçeşme; We will put it to the service of the people of Istanbul and the people of Fatih, ”he said.

President Erdoğan, on the other hand, stated that they have put the 7th section of the Northern Marmara Highway, which is one of the most critical projects that will provide a permanent solution to Istanbul's transportation problem, into service today; he said:
“Habibler-Hasdal intersections section will provide easy access to places with heavy traffic such as Başakşehir, Kayaşehir, Arnavutköy, Çam and Sakura Hospital, İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone by using the second ring road from the direction of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. Monument works such as Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge and 1915 Çanakkale Bridge on the highway routes take their place in history as the symbols of our country.
“The Northern Marmara Motorway, which we have opened to service in its entirety, except for the part we added later, will provide our country with a financial contribution of 1 billion 650 million lira and 830 million lira from fuel, approximately 2,6 billion lira annually, and 351 thousand tons of carbon emission reduction benefit. Once again, I congratulate everyone from our ministry, contractors, engineers and workers for their efforts in bringing the Northern Marmara Highway to our country. "
