Ankara Metropolitan Municipality declared a mobilization of asphalt paving throughout the capital with the start of the 17-day full closure process. In the first week of the process (April 29-May 7), the teams of the Department of Science Affairs carried out 173 tons of asphalt paving and patching work on 236 boulevards and streets in a total of 101 neighborhoods. The teams plan to produce 195 thousand tons of asphalt at 8 points between May 17-35. Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş announced that a total of 214 thousand tons of asphalt paving and patch work will be carried out in 17 days in his post on social media accounts.

In order to ensure safe and uninterrupted driving on healthy days when the curfew will end, the Metropolitan Municipality accelerated the asphalt paving works in all 25 districts, and in the first week of the process, a total of 101 thousand 195 tons of asphalt paved.
IN THE FIRST WEEK ASPHALT SPREADING AND PATCHING MADE IN 173 NEIGHBORS AT 236 POINTS
Between April 29 and May 7, the teams of the Department of Science Affairs; While 11 thousand 35 tons of asphalt paved in 45 boulevards and streets in 89 districts and 354 neighborhoods, 23 districts made 138 boulevards and 191 thousand 11 tons of patches in 840 neighborhoods.
The teams of the Department of Science Affairs, who continued their asphalt paving works on a 7/24 basis without slowing down in the curfew, completed the asphalt paving and patching of 17 boulevards and streets in 173 neighborhoods in total in the first week of the 236-day closure process.

The Metropolitan Municipality will continue its asphalt works without interruption during the full closure process.
Directorate of Science Affairs; It plans to produce 35 thousand tons of asphalt between May 8-17 at 214 points in total from Altındağ to Beypazarı, Çankaya to Keçiören, from Etimesgut to Kahramankazan, from Mamak to Yenimahalle.
The Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Mansur Yavaş, informed the citizens of the capital about the asphalt and patch works to be carried out during the closure process, with his sharing on social media accounts:
“We take care to continue our work without disturbing our citizens and preventing the daily flow of life. During the complete closure process, we will have done 17 thousand tons of asphalt paving and patch work in 25 districts in 315 days.

Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş also mentioned the messages from citizens about asphalt works in the "Sisler Boulevard" program on KRT TV.
Giving information about many projects implemented in the program, from Keçiören Fatih Bridge to Etimesgut İstasyon Street works, Yavaş said, “Someone who passed by sent a message and wrote as follows. 'Now there is a curfew and you are paving everywhere. It wouldn't be like this in the past, it was done right when the schools were going to open so that people could see that they were working '. We turn bans into opportunities. Both ASKI and asphalt… We have no money to spend on any imaginary project ”.
