Turkish Republic State Railways (TCDD) General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun made a technical examination in Balıkesir and received information about railway projects.
The General Manager Uygun, TCDD Regional Manager Ergün Yurtçu and the technical team, discussed the YHT railway works that will pass through the city.
The demands of the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and citizens were evaluated. Mayor Yücel Yılmaz shared his views on the railway and level crossings passing through the city.
General Manager Uygun examined the projects to be carried out with the municipality and the YHT route.
General Manager Uygun and Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz got on the construction machine with his technical delegation and consulted about the project between Balıkesir-Bandırma, Tavşanlı and Gündoğan lines. Later, Ali İhsan Uygun, who visited Gökköy Telekomand Center with the Mayor of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and the technical delegation, received information about traffic management.
Uygun then transferred to Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Presidency.
Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yücel Yılmaz said, “The passenger capacity of our city is very high. High-speed train will bring even more movement. General Manager Uygun said, “As TCDD, we work in a solution-oriented manner. Serving Balıkesir is also important to us. Railway investment is large and costly. With the vision of our President, we will put our signature under good projects with the support of our Minister. We will also have surprises. As TCDD, we stand by the people of Balıkesir in train transportation, ”he said.
