The software renewal works on the Keçiören Metro Line, under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, have been completed by the EGO General Directorate of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, in order to provide citizens with more comfortable, safe and fast transportation.
As a result of the test and trial operation studies carried out during the curfew days in May 2021, the transition to the new generation signaling system software on the Keçiören Metro Line; It was confirmed by all relevant parties, especially the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, that it would not cause any problems in terms of system safety and passenger safety.
As of 08 February 2021, the new generation signaling system used in the OSB / Törekent-Koru Metro Line will also be used in the Keçiören Metro Line.
Train services on the Keçiören Metro Line on Monday, May 31, 2021, will be at the service of citizens to provide safer, efficient and comfortable service with the new generation signaling system.
EGO General Directorate took all necessary measures against unforeseen and adverse situations during the transition to the signaling system. In addition, a plan was made to provide transportation by buses in case of need.
