Healthy life meets entertainment in Samsun, where bicycles are the most common city in the Black Sea Region. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which creates awareness in social responsibility projects, is preparing to provide electric scooter service to everyone who feels young.
With its economic advantages and environmentally friendly features, practical short-distance transportation electric scooters, which are rapidly becoming widespread all over the world, make a great contribution to the reduction of traffic density and parking problems in cities. Domestic and nationally produced electric scooters with tracking modules, software developed by Turkish engineers, can travel 50 kilometers on a single charge.
Scooters, which provide users with fun and enjoyable moments, will now serve in Samsun. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which will offer the fun transportation vehicle that can reach a speed of 35 km per hour, for a healthy life, continues its preparations. The service, which will start in Doğupark, Kurtuluş Yolu, Batıpark and Adnan Menderes Boulevard, will start with 300 electric scooters and will be further expanded over time.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, who gave information about the project that everyone can benefit from 7 to 77, said that they will put the scooters into service as the number of cases decreased and life returned to normal. Stating that the pandemic teaches everyone how important it is to human and public health, Mayor Demir said, “We are implementing another important service in the name of social responsibility in Samsun, the 'City of Sports', in order to raise awareness in the Black Sea Region. In the near future, we will offer electric scooters to our citizens in the locations we have determined, especially on the Adnan Menderes Beach. We will create stations and parking areas by making observations and analyzes in 3 months. Those who want to take advantage of this fun trip will be able to pay the fee by credit card or Samkart ”.
