Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu made a statement that caused reactions recently, "We have taken some measures to be able to enter the tourism season safely and for the safety of our citizens, we will vaccinate everyone who can be seen by the tourist by the end of May".

Following Çavuoğlu's statements on tourism, the promotion prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's travel guide platform 'Go Turkey' for foreign tourists was deleted 2 hours after it was published on social media.

CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also reacted to the situation on his Twitter account. Kılıçdaroğlu, who labeled AKP's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Culture and Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, said, “You have succeeded in poisoning the feast of our nation. Finally, we had a ministry that humiliated its own nation! The tourism industry needs these revenues. It would be great if you work with competent people every now and then ”.
