Çamlıca Tower was inaugurated today with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and AK Party Deputy Chairman Binali Yıldırım on the 568th anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul. While President Erdogan stated, "I see our tower, which started operating in Çamlıca, as one of the most important investments and symbolic works of the new period"; Minister Karaismailoğlu said, "Çamlıca Tower has become an example of an environmental project for the world as it has passed the age in the field of broadcasting in Turkey."

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who noted that they will broadcast 100 FM radio at the same time for the first time in the world, will be the new symbol of Istanbul with its technical features and architecture, and that they have opened Europe's largest tower, said, " Its elevation is 30 meters and the building height above the ground is 150 meters. Our tower is 218 floors in total, 369 floors below ground and 4 floors above. There is a podium on the ground floor of our tower, technical floors above them, viewing terraces and restaurants above them. "The height of our tower, which is 45 meters high, of the steel antenna formed on these floors, reaches 49 meters above sea level."

"While ending the visual and magnetic field pollution on Çamlıca Hill, we will save a serious amount of energy."

Minister Karaismailoğlu pointed out that the Camlica Tower, the tallest building in the country and Europe, was built reinforced against the effects of earthquakes and wind, “While the 33 large antennas on Çamlıca Hill put an end to the image and magnetic field pollution, It will also provide an energy saving. "It aims to raise the broadcasting quality and capacity of our country to high standards by creating the technical infrastructure for the transition to terrestrial digital broadcasting in Turkey."

At the same time, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they carried out important landscaping works in order to protect and develop the beauty and natural vegetation of Çamlıca Hill and said, “We planted 30 thousand 150 trees of various types in the social areas around the tower of 2 thousand 750 square meters. In addition, we created a total of 20 thousand square meters of green space. "I would like to thank the architect, the engineer, the contractor, the worker and all our colleagues who worked under the roof of our ministry, who contributed to the construction of our tower."

Hoping that the Çamlıca Tower, which will provide services to television and radio media organizations and communication operators, will be beneficial to the country and the nation, President Erdoğan said, “We worked hard on the project. In the end, we have successfully implemented this project that will set an example not only in our country but all over the world. Thanks to this tower, which we switched to the single transmitter facility model in broadcasting activities, we also put an end to the visual pollution in the Çamlıca Tower. I see our tower, which started operating in Çamlıca, as one of the most important investments and symbolic works of the new period. This tower, which has a length of 587 meters from sea level, is also the tallest structure in Istanbul. I congratulate everyone, from the contractor firm, from the engineer to the worker.
