Bayraklı Mayor Serdar Sandal said, “We are always ready to do our part, regarding the cable car project planned to be built by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in order to provide fast and safe transportation to the City Hospital, which is under construction in the district. We will do whatever is necessary together with our teams, ”he said. Bayraklı Mayor Serdar Sandal; Eser Atak, Deputy Secretary General of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, met with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department Head Mert Yaygel and the technical team conducting the cable car project planned to be built in the district. Project Manager Halit Calp explained the details of the project and alternative studies in his presentation at the meeting.

In this context, in the studies prepared for the project to be carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Bayraklı The coast is above the Çarşamba Marketplace in Alpaslan District, Ord. While the alternative routes between the beach and the hospital were determined in the project, which is still being studied, the most technically suitable system was chosen to protect the existing structure. It was stated that the ropeway, which is one of the fastest, safest, economical and environmentally friendly transportation alternatives preferred due to the difficulty of transportation by sea, land and rail, will also provide 90 percent less carbon emissions compared to bus systems. In the presentation, it was stated that the negotiations with the relevant institutions for the ropeway project, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year, are ongoing.
