In the operation carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams of the Ministry of Commerce at an address in Izmir, 501 devices used to produce cryptocurrencies worth 5 million lira, which were determined to have been illegally introduced into Turkey, were seized.

A notice sent to 136 Customs Enforcement Notice line was evaluated by Izmir Customs Protection, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate. The information included in the notification, which stated that the devices used in the production of cryptocurrencies, which have frequently occupied the public recently, were illegally introduced into Turkey, were carefully examined.

As a result of the research carried out, the address of the devices subject to notification was determined and action was taken for the operation. According to the determination, in a search made by custodians who went to an address belonging to a workplace used as a warehouse in Izmir, it was found that there were many electronic devices in the cardboard boxes.

As a result of the investigations carried out, it was determined that the devices in the boxes had the phrase "bitcoin asic" and these devices were used in the production of crypto money.

As a result of the successful operation of the Customs Enforcement teams, while 5 data production devices with a market value of approximately 501 million Turkish liras were seized illegally into Turkey, legal action was initiated against those responsible.
