During the operations carried out by the Customs Enforcement Teams of the Ministry of Commerce at the Habur Customs Gate, 5 kilos 141 grams of heroin hidden in a plasma television found on a bus that was found as a suspect and 357 mobile phones were seized in a secret compartment created in a suspicious truck.

As a result of the analysis performed by the personnel of Habur Customs Enforcement, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate, a bus coming to the customs gate was evaluated as risky. When the detector dog reacted to a plasma television in the bus, which was scanned with X-Ray device and controlled by narcotic detector dogs, the TV was removed from its location and opened inside.

During the search, 10 packages hidden inside the television were found. It was understood that the powder substance in the packages was heroin after the control of the drug test device. Heroin weighing a total of 5 kilos and 141 grams was confiscated.

In another operation carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams at the Habur Customs Gate, this time a truck that came to Turkey from Iraq was considered risky. The suspect truck was directed to X-Ray scanning. As a result of the X-Ray scan, suspicious density was found at the junction of the wheel, called the axle, of the truck. Thereupon, the vehicle was taken to the search hangar and its tires were removed.

When the tires were removed, 357 mobile phones wrapped in black bags were seized in a specially created secret compartment at the wheel junction of the truck trailer.

The investigation into drugs and mobile phones seized during the operations carried out at the Habur Customs Gate continues.
