The 30th International Bicycle Show opened in Pudong, Shanghai on Wednesday, with the participation of more than a thousand companies. More than a thousand different bicycle manufacturers exhibit their products in 135 thousand pavilions established in the fair, which is located on an area of 6 thousand square meters. As the world's most important bicycle producer and exporter country, China takes a share of more than 60 percent in the total volume of global bicycle trade, according to the China Bicycle Association, the organizer of the fair.
As a result of the global trends affected by the Kovid-19 outbreak, there has been a significant increase in the number of export orders directed to exporters operating within the Chinese bicycle industry since 2020, as it is increasingly popular around the world to go from one place to another by bicycle. The China Bicycle Association expects China's bicycle production to reach 80 million units this year and its exports to increase by about 10 percent.
