According to the statement made by the General Directorate of TCDD Transportation, in accordance with the epidemic measures and gradual normalization and in line with the decisions taken at the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, a regulation was made on YHT, Marmaray, Başkentray and regional passenger train services, effective from 17 May, when the full closure application will end.

YHTs will make 50 trips a day with 22 percent capacity

According to the arrangement made; YHTs will serve in Ankara-Eskişehir-Istanbul, Ankara-Konya and Konya-Eskişehir-Istanbul lines with a capacity of 50 percent within the social distance rule and will make 22 trips a day.

It will be mandatory to present the HES code during the provision of train tickets. YHTs will make voyages according to their tariffs before the full closing application. Combined transportation with YHT connection will be made between Konya and Karaman.

Regional trains will also be operated according to the pre-closure schedule.

  • Marmaray, 30 minutes on days with curfew, 8 minutes between Zeytinburnu-Maltepe on other days, HalkalıIt will serve at intervals of 15 minutes between Gebze
  • Başkentray, on the other hand, will be operated at intervals of 15 minutes between Sincan and Kayaş on the days when there is no curfew, and at 30 minutes intervals on the days when there is a restriction.
