OIL AND PITTURE POLLUTION NOTICE

Metropolitan Municipality and Antalya 112 Emergency Call Center came to Konyaaltı beach in the area where businesses numbered 29 and 30 are located, and Metropolitan Municipality teams took action upon the notifications of "oil and pitch pollution on the sea surface". The accuracy of the notice was determined in the region by the Marine and Coastal Management Branch of the Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department, and detailed studies were carried out by the cleaning and inspection teams on the source of pollution.

MONEY PENALTY FOR THE SHIP

The dry cargo ship board at the Antalya Port Mooring Area was found to be covered with oil / pitch, based on the information received from the Port Authority. In the inspection carried out at the Middle East Antalya Port Authority, it was determined that the oil pollution on the ship's board caused marine pollution while the ship officials were cleaning them with their own means. The ship was banned from navigation until the money was paid, with an administrative fine of 2872 TL pursuant to the Environmental Law No. 1.566.864,00.

Metropolitan Municipality Marine and Coastal Management Branch Directorate officials stated that routine inspections are carried out to prevent all kinds of marine pollution caused by marine vehicles within their areas of responsibility, and in the struggle to protect the Antalya Bay and seas; He drew attention to the importance of the sensitivity of ship owners, ship agents and the public. Authorities stated that sea pollution complaints can be forwarded to the Antalya 112 Emergency Call Center or to the phone number 249 52 00 of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department.
