Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler made examinations at the Durgun Water Sports Center, where competitions in national and international sports such as canoeing and sailing will be held.
Work continues at the Stagnant Water Sports Center, which President Güler started in Gülyalı district to make Ordu a center of attraction in sea sports. Mayor Güler, who made examinations in the project area to evaluate the works on site, said that they counted the days for the completion of the project, which will make Ordu the center of tourism and sea sports.

President Güler spoke as follows: “We are bringing an enormous project to our city, region, country and the whole world as a product of our own thinking. In Ordu, we are building a facility where international competitions can be held in branches such as canoeing and sailing. As a result of the work done, this place will be the center of tourism and sea sports. This work of ours is a versatile and functional project. It will be a project that not only Ordu but also our surrounding provinces can benefit directly. We are counting the days to complete the work here.
FULLY EQUIPPED FACILITY
Within the scope of the project, a total of 400 people tribune, 1 protocol lodge, 1 race finish observation tower with photo finish camera, 6 portable floating docks, 100-vehicle spectator parking area, 20-vehicle trailer parking area, 300 meters boathouse, 400 meters sales and promotion area, 1.142 meters of vehicle and bicycle path, a crossing bridge over the creek exit and accommodation area for referees and athletes will be created.
BICYCLE AND WALKING ROUTES WILL ALSO BE
Bicycle and walkways and observation tower, 4 tribunes of 93 people, light steel prefabricated boathouse, various prefabricated WC-shower, changing cabin and floating platform, infrastructure and landscaping works and the existing guesthouse building will be renovated.
