April 25, 1912 Hicaz Railway Directorate departed from Sadaret and first joined the Ministry of War on October 9, 1912, and was reinstated by Sadaret on 11 January 1913 and added to the Evkaf Ministry. On October 7, 1916, he was affiliated with the Ministry of War. The Ministry of Military Affairs gave the post of General Manager of the Hejaz Railway to the General Directorate of Military Railways and Ports.
25 April 1946 Istanbul-Ankara line train services started.
