The application, which allows women to easily inform law enforcement officers or their relatives when they are subjected to violence, was deemed worthy of the Silver Stevie in the "Innovation in Social Practices Award" category at the Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards held for the second time this year. Red Light has been downloaded a total of 358 times so far and has reached 2.500 monthly active users. The 2021 Middle East and North Africa Stevie® Awards will find their owners at a virtual ceremony to be held on June 2.

Emergency numbers can be dialed at the touch of a button
In the "Red Light" application, 3 persons to be reached in case of emergency can be registered with a single click. With the Shake-Alert feature, messages and location information are sent to the registered persons as "Emergency SMS" by shaking the phone. With the application, the emergency numbers of Alo 183, 155 Police Emergency, 156 Gendarmerie and Domestic Violence Emergency Helpline can be called with a single button. In addition, the addresses and phones of the nearest Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services Violence Prevention and Monitoring Centers can be found on the map. Women can also access information about what to do when exposed to violence. With the "My Travel Friend" feature of the application, users can share their location on the map and enable them to track where they are, instantly, on a journey or situation where they feel insecure. An SMS notification is sent to their followers if they are off the route they shared.
New features have been added
Voice Over accessibility option for iOS users and Talk Back accessibility option for Android users have been added to all functions of the “Red Light” application during the pandemic period. Thanks to this add-on, the item selected by touch can be read and voice feedback can be provided to visually impaired women. On the other hand, with the Arabic language option activated throughout the application, refugee women can also benefit from the application. The "Red Light" also supports women with informative texts that raise awareness about the types of violence and explain what women can do when exposed to violence during the epidemic.
More than 17 applications from 400 countries
The Middle East and North Africa Stevie® Awards, given within the scope of the Stevie® Awards, one of the most prestigious business awards in the world, is the only program that rewards companies and organizations across 17 countries in the region for their innovative achievements throughout the year. More than 400 applications were made to the Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards, which was held for the second time this year under the sponsorship of RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the contest, where the applications were evaluated in various categories such as the "Excellence in Product and Service Innovation Award", "Innovative Management Award", "Innovation Award in Corporate Websites", the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined as a result of the average scores given by more than 6 executives in 60 different juries. .
