Ittir Kaktır, the newest object of the Rahmi M. Koç Museum, returned with an award from the competition organized by the UK-based Classic Boat magazine. Ittir Kaktır was chosen 'the best' in its own category in the competition where the winner was determined in eight different categories.

Ittir Kaktır, built by RMK Marine Shipyard in 2020, joined the Rahmi M. Koç Museum's ship fleet in October 2020. The original blueprint of the boat was designed by Sam Devlin company in Washington, USA, called "Tugzilla", as an inboard-engined recreational boat and also a tugboat. The plan was adapted by RMK Marine Shipyard and was extended from eight meters to more than two meters and transformed into a 10,06 meter boat. The 150 horsepower engine of İttir Kaktır, which is included in the museum's extensive collection, was produced by Ford Otosan.

The Classic Boat Awards, organized by the UK-based Classic Boat magazine since 2007, brings together sea vehicles that sail freely in blue waters, from centuries-old traditional ships to those that are restored, from sailboats to motor cruising boats. The winners of the competition, which is organized in eight different categories, are selected by public vote. The winners will also be announced in the May issue of Classic Boat magazine.
