The first prototypes of the BALA KTS-14 Fuselage Supported Shield Transport System developed within the scope of the Presidential Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) project were delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command.

Within the scope of the Presidential Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) project, a biomechanical system with a unique internal mechanism that can carry the mini ballistic shield in the Gendarmerie inventory to personnel ergonomically was developed by Adger Engineering. The system carries the 14 kg ballistic shield in a balanced and ergonomic way and provides protection at the head level. The system, which enables the personnel to carry a shield longer, provides 24 cm movement capability with its light design. The system also increases shooting accuracy and durability.

Following the successful completion of the biomechanical tests carried out at Hacettepe University with the support of the Gendarmerie Special Security Command (JÖAK) personnel, the first prototypes were delivered to the Gendarmerie General Command.

Presidency Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir also made the following statement on the subject: “We continue to develop systems that provide fast and easy use for our security forces in the field. I congratulate those who contributed to the development of the BALA KTS-14 system, which made the ballistic shield more ergonomic and effective with the biomechanical system.
