While there is an administration that monitors it all year, we should all question the understanding of saying 'I will do the canal out of spite' with an investment of 65 billion dollars in this city.” Expressing that the country is struggling with problems such as economic problems and unemployment, İmamoğlu emphasized that saying "We will do it out of spite" for such a project should be psychologically questioned by the society.

In this sense, we developed a new model in Istanbul. I especially want to share this with you. Currently there are 26 commissions in IMM. We determined 26 board chairmen in return for these 26 commissions. We will follow IMM closely. We will reveal the shortcomings when appropriate. We have created a council that will mostly offer solutions for Istanbul and will make great contributions to you in this sense. "We will share this with the public next week," he said.
