Pointing out that the number of in-city rail system projects is increasing day by day, Minister Karaismailoğlu, currently, especially in Istanbul; He stated that there is a total of 12 kilometers of urban rail systems in 811,4 different cities across the country, including Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Eskişehir, Konya, Kayseri, Antalya, Samsun, Adana and Gaziantep.
Karaismailoğlu said, “We, as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, built 312 kilometers of these lines. Approximately 312,2 billion 2 million passengers are transported annually on the 393-kilometer rail system lines, which have been completed and put into operation by our Ministry. The total length of our 11 metro lines, which are under construction throughout the country, is more than 147 kilometers ”.
Stating that they have brought over 80 kilometers of urban rail to Istanbul so far, Minister Karaismailoğlu continued as follows: “We carry 500 thousand passengers daily from Marmaray built by our Ministry. The total length of the metro lines currently under construction in Istanbul; It is 91 kilometers. The total length of Üsküdar Altunizade-Ferah Mahallesi-Çamlıca Rail System and Kazlıçeşme-Sirkeci Urban Transportation and Recreation Transformation Project, which we will start to build very soon, is 13,5 kilometers. Karaismailoğlu, “Our project is about to start from Bakırköy Beach; Freedom Square will have 7 stations, including İncirli, Haznedar, İlkyuva, Yıldıztepe, Molla Gürani and Kirazlı. By creating squares around our stations, we will take an important step in terms of city planning. "These squares will soon turn into points that develop both commercially and socially, due to the dynamism that the stations will create."
Karaismailoğlu “Our Bakırköy-Bahçelievler-Güngören-Kirazlı Metro line; We have completed TBM Tunnel constructions between Bakırköy İncirli stations. Upon completion of the İncirli Truss structure, TBM Tunnel manufacturing resumed from İncirli Station to Kirazlı. We continue rough construction at stations and permanent interior lining in tunnels. Our subway construction; 66 percent of tunnel excavation works, 47 percent of Station reinforced concrete works and 25 percent of rail laying works have been completed. Our total physical progress in the project is 62 percent. "We are planning to complete our project at the end of 2022 and put it into the service of our people."

Karaismailoğlu, “By the end of 2021 Kadıköy-Maltepe-Kartal-Pendik districts will be continuously connected to Sabiha Gökçen airport. Thus; When our rail system projects are completed, our ministry will have built half of Istanbul's urban rail systems. 1500 people in Bakırköy-Bahcelievler-Bağcılar-Kirazlı subway, 5000 people on our Gayrettepe-Kağıthane-Istanbul airport metro line, 3000 people on our Başakşehir-Çam and Sakura City Hospital-Kayaşehir-metro line, Halkalı-Başakşehir - Arnavutköy- Istanbul Airport subway line 3000 people, Sabiha Gökçen- Pendik Tavşantepe Metro construction, a total of more than 1000 thousand 13 citizens, including 500 people, have gotten jobs only thanks to our metro projects in Istanbul.
