The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, paid a visit to the city on Friday, April 30, to examine the transportation investments in Bartın on site. Minister Karaismailoğlu, who made a statement at the Zonguldak-Amasra-Kurucaşile-Cide Road construction site within the scope of the visit, which was attended by General Director of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu; Until 2003, while there were only 7 kilometers of divided roads in Bartın, they increased the length of the divided road in the city to 75 kilometers by building 82 kilometers more; He said that they have built 3 tunnels with a total length of 3 thousand 11 meters, including 787 single-tube tunnels and 6 double-tube tunnels.
Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that 147,5 kilometers of the Zonguldak-Amasra-Kurucaşile-Cide Road, which has a total length of 77,5 kilometers, is located within the borders of Bartın province, 7 single bridges, 10 double bridges, 2 crossroads, 1 single tube tunnel and 7 double-tube tunnels, 56,2 kilometers of divided road, 5 single bridges, 8 double bridges, 1 bridge intersection together with Cumayanı Viaduct, 1 single tube Amasra and 3 double tube tunnels. With the project that will connect Bartın to Kurucaşile district in a divided road standard, 3,1 km on the route; 15 minutes will be shortened in travel time. Thanks to the project that will contribute to the goal of connecting Zonguldak-Sinop provinces, which is an important route in the east-west corridor, 9,1 million TL over time; A total of 1,7 million TL will be saved annually, including 10,8 million TL from fuel.
