Istanbul's new metro line is being built between Rumeli Hisarüstü region and Aşiyan Park on the Bosphorus coast. When the line is completed, it will facilitate access between the Bosphorus coast and Büyükdere street with the integration of the M6 ​​Levent-Hisarüstü-Boğaziçi University line at the Rumeli Hisarüstü station.

The construction of the line, which was suspended due to financing problems in the past, has been restarted in the new period.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğluIn his post on his twitter account regarding the Aşiyan Funicular line, he used the following statements:

“Are we only doing 10 subways at a time? No! We weave iron nets all over the city. We are quickly fixing and completing all the works that have caused a loss of billions of liras to Istanbul by being left unfinished, stopped or made wrong. The Aşiyan Funicular is just one of them.”
