Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that when the project, whose work has been accelerated, will greatly relieve the traffic in terms of both rail system lines and land vehicles.
Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that the works are continuing uninterruptedly at the multi-level crossroad and 2 U underpasses that started at the intersection of General Hulusi Akar Boulevard and Aşık Veysel Boulevard.
The multi-level crossroad and 2 U underpass works on Hulusi Akar Boulevard, one of the important main arteries of the city, and Aşık Veysel Boulevard continue at full speed.
While activities continue to complete the project designed by the Metropolitan Municipality to ensure an uninterrupted traffic flow in the critical region where transportation to high-density neighborhoods is provided, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that the construction of multi-story intersections and underpasses has been accelerated.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, who stated that the works caused some trouble to the residents of the region, thanked the citizens for the understanding of these works and said, “This process inevitably seems to be a bit of torment for our fellow citizens, but this is in the nature of the work. They will be patient, I hope they will find comfort and relax later. They will also benefit from transportation in its most beautiful form. The teams are always working, ”he said.
Büyükkılıç emphasized that all necessary measures were taken to ensure the continuity of the traffic without interruption by working on alternative routes before both the multi-storey intersection construction works and the displacement of the infrastructure lines.
