Stating that he will only tell about the projects that have been completed and are still under construction, Mayor Büyükakın said, “Even projects whose tenders are imminent will not be included in our present presentation. 1.54 BILLION TL FOR TRANSPORT INVESTMENTS
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality allocated 1,54 billion TL to transportation projects. While 694 works and services with a total amount of 43 million TL have been completed, the construction of 845 works and services worth 44 million TL continues.
INVESTMENT OF 82 MILLION TL IN TRAMVAY
Continuing the tram project, Metropolitan spent 82 million 380 thousand TL within the scope of the Izmit Plajyolu tram line and purchase work. 2.1 stops were made for the 4-kilometer new line and 6 new vehicles were purchased.
258 MILLION TO STREETS AND INTERSECTIONS

109 NEW BUSES FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Büyükşehir signed a contract for the purchase of 109 new buses to expand its transportation fleet. The total cost of 109 buses exceeds 266 million 371 thousand TL.
IZMIT KURUÇEŞME TRAM LINE
Izmit Kuruçeşme Tram Line is among the ongoing projects. In the project worth 85 million TL, 322 meters of steel bridge, 812 meters of double line, 1 station and 2 spring bridges will be manufactured.
ONGOING 200 MILLION TL PROJECTS
Karamürsel Tunnel, Gebze-Tem Highway Bridge Connection Roads, Körfez İlimtepe Road 1st Stage, İzmit Solaklar Road (Çayırbaşı Street) and Road Construction works will cost 200 million TL.
INFRASTRUCTURE 1.15 BILLION TL
Within the scope of infrastructure works, 572 works and services worth 36 million TL were brought to Kocaeli. The construction of 577 works and services with a total value of 4 million TL continues. 503 kilometers of Drinking Water Lines, 244 kilometers of Sewerage Lines, 86 kilometers of Rainwater and Stream Rehabilitation, new infrastructure for 116 villages, 47 Drinking Water Depots and ISU superstructure works have been completed.
