First Bridge Junction Opened to Traffic on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to bring the people of Başkent together with the transportation projects that will reduce the traffic density by prioritizing the safety of the drivers. The Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mansur Yavaş, announced that the first bridge intersection in the direction of Ümitköy-Batıkent on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard, where traffic has been experienced for 20 years, has been completed and put into service.

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who continues to bring together the transportation projects that will relieve the city traffic and ensure the safety of life, announced that they have completed the first of the 2 bridged intersections that have been started on Şaşmaz Sanayi Boulevard, where the traffic has been experienced for many years.

DRIVING SAFETY WILL BE PROVIDED WITH UNINTERRUPTED TRAFFIC FLOW

Yavaş, who informed the citizens about the point reached in the works carried out in Şaşmaz Industrial Site in his post on social media accounts, said, “We completed the works at our first bridge crossroad in the direction of Ümitköy-Batıkent in Şaşmaz and opened it to your service. "We will work day and night to complete the second bridge in the direction of Batıkent, whose opening is delayed due to the water density in the infrastructure," he said.

While the road was opened to traffic on the first bridge, which was completed in a short time by the teams of the Department of Science Affairs, this way, driving safety was ensured with uninterrupted traffic flow.

INTERSECTIONS WITH BRIDGES WILL RELAX THE REGIONAL TRAFFIC

The first phase of the work of two bridged intersections at the intersection of 2473. Street and 2474. Street between Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard (Istanbul Road) and Ankara Boulevard Şaşmaz Junction has ended.

With the project, where the infrastructure displacement works and reinforced concrete productions continue, the second bridge will be completed in a short time, and the accumulation in the Şaşmaz Junction will be prevented to a large extent. Both crossings and right and left turns on the main road will be safer and more controlled, while the top of the bridge intersection will be 2 departures and 2 arrivals, while the side roads where industrial turns will be served as 2 lanes.

Thanks to the fact that the region is an industrial area and the intersection with two bridges on the line connecting the Istanbul Road route to Eskişehir Road, the traffic density in the region will decrease.
