IMM continues its urban transformation works in Istanbul, which is under earthquake risk. With the transformation work initiated by KİPTAŞ in Bağcılar Kirazlı Mahallesi, the complex of 7 blocks and 190 apartments will be completely renovated. The demolition of the buildings, which were severely damaged by the last earthquakes, started today. KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt stated that the transformation project carried out in Bağcılar will be an example for all of Istanbul.

KİPTAŞ, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, is starting a transformation in "As Fatih Kent Sitesi", which consists of 2017 blocks and 7 residences in Bağcılar Kirazlı Mahallesi, which was declared a "risky structure" in 190. The beneficiaries residing in the site, which will be reconstructed by KİPTAŞ with the "On-Site Transformation Model", started to sign a contract with KİPTAŞ on January 22, 2021. SETTLEMENT RATE EXCEEDED 93 PERCENT

With the 93 percent agreement reached, the evacuation of those living on the site was completed and the demolitions started as of today. The demolition operations carried out under high security measures in the enclosed project site will be completed within a few days. During the demolition license process, KİPTAŞ carried out the detection and analysis of the presence of asbestos materials here, as in all transformation projects. As a result of these operations on the site, no asbestos material was found.

THE PROJECT IS EXECUTED UNDER THE GUARANTEE OF KİPTAŞ

Making evaluations about the transformation project carried out, Ali Kurt, General Manager of KİPTAŞ, stated that the site, which was built 25-30 years ago, has a serious earthquake risk today and continued his words as follows:

“Bağcılar As Fatih Kent Sitesi is an important transformation project that can set a precedent for all of Istanbul. Here, we agreed with the beneficiaries on the construction cost of the project and the market sales values ​​of the residences to be built. We agreed that the renewal fee should be 20 percent, we signed contracts with 93 percent of our beneficiaries. KİPTAŞ is in the position of both organizing the process and the guarantor of the system. In other words, KİPTAŞ is responsible for all parties between the citizen, the contractor and the bank. This ensures the healthy progress of the processes, the completion of the projects, and the use of appropriate payment terms by the citizens. "

Kurt shared the knowledge that the foundation will be laid in Bağcılar Kirazlı District in a short time and said, “We will work for our beneficiaries to reach their healthy and safe houses, which are social and children's playgrounds, in a short time. We continue to work in different regions with sample transformation projects. We act disaster-oriented with consensus. Our priority is the public good. "We are thinking about how many of our citizens can be saved from the risky structure, we are working and developing projects."

SAFE AND HEALTHY HOUSES

The new project to be implemented by KİPTAŞ will consist of 4 blocks and 250 residences. In the closed site where there will be three entrances; There will be a total of 164 flats, including 3 1 + 82, 2 1 + 4 and 1 1 + 250 flats. Common open square in the middle of the blocks; It is equipped with landscaping elements such as children's playgrounds, sports and seating areas and an ornamental pool. The two-storey social facility structure is also associated with this area. A 2-storey closed parking lot was arranged under the block and under the middle courtyard. There will be a parking lot for each flat, with 201 closed and 49 open.

THE PROCESS CONTINUES IN YEŞİLPINAR TRANSFORMATION PROJECT

On the other hand, IMM continues the transformation project in Eyüpsultan Yeşilpınar Neighborhood, which was declared a risky area in 2017. With the Yeşilpınar transformation project carried out with the coordination of all relevant public units, right holders will be able to have solid and safe residences. KİPTAŞ will provide rent and relocation assistance to ensure the evacuation of risky structures.
