The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services inspected 335 personal protective equipment during the pandemic process and detected 41 unsafe products.

The Ministry shared with the public the brands, models and serial numbers of these 41 masks, which were found to be unsafe, via the Unsafe Product Information System (GÜBİS).

While the surveillance and inspection activities were meticulously carried out by the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety in order to provide safe personal protective equipment to the market, the priority was to protect the health and safety of the citizen.

We Will Be Followed by Those Who Intent to the Health of Our Citizens

The products whose samples were taken with suspicion of distrust during the inspections were sent to the tests. The detections of insecurity were carried out in accordance with the relevant standards in laboratories that are notified bodies in the field of respiratory protective equipment.

During the pandemic process, while our citizens and healthcare professionals are not compromised in order to have access to appropriate and safe personal protective equipment, the ministry will continue to be the follower of the people and companies who aim at the health of our citizens with the products they produce and cause unfair competition.
