Unye Sanayi Interchange, known as the "death crossroad" since it caused the deaths and injuries of many people until today, has been made safe after the intersection arrangement work carried out by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality.
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, which has made significant investments to make the transportation network of Ordu safe and comfortable, also makes a great contribution to the relief of urban traffic with the intersection regulations it has initiated in order to ensure the flow of traffic and increase the safety of the intersections.
After the works carried out in Altınordu and Fatsa district, the Metropolitan Municipality organized an intersection in the district of Ünye, and completed the works at the Ünye Industry Interchange, one of the important regions of the district and which was known with accidents in the past.
"DEATH JUNCTION IS NOW MORE SAFE"
Stating that they are carrying out a planned work to solve the traffic problems in the city, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality General Secretary Coşkun Alp stated that they have achieved a noticeable relief in traffic with the intersection arrangement works implemented in the districts.
Secretary General Coşkun Alp made the following statements in his statement.
“Our Mayor of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. We have completed another study closely followed by Mehmet Hilmi Güler. The works at the Ünye Industry Crossroads were completed in a short time by our Technical Affairs Department and the Public Transport Department and were put into service for our citizens. The crossroad where many fatal and injurious accidents were experienced before will now be a place where comfort and tranquility are mentioned. Within the scope of the works, the intersection was renewed from the beginning. It was equipped with direction signs and signalization, including entry and exit roads. In addition, the intersection was made more modern with the newly poured hot asphalt. I hope Ünye Industrial Junction with its renewed face will be beneficial to our city and Ünye district ”.
INTERSECTION WORKS WILL BE IN 19 DISTRICTS
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, which took new measures against the traffic density that occurred with the increase in the number of vehicles in the city, made arrangement work in Sivas Junction, Russian Market Junction, Mevlana Junction, Dörtyol Junction, Municipality Crossroad and Fındıklı Junction in Altınordu district. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has spread these works to the districts, will continue to work on problematic intersections in other districts, within the framework of the determined program, after the Industrial Junction arrangement in Ünye district.
